If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you
and share with you its beauty
On the days you're feeling blue.
If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own;
A place to find serenity, A place to be alone.
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea,
But all these things I'm finding are impossible for me.
I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair,
But let me be what I know best,
A friend who's always there.
This awesome was written by a girl in my sister's 8th grade class. Isn't it cool! I just love it and I hope you guys do to. I hope everyone has a great week. Be that friend that someone really needs this week.

It's Been Awhile
This past week has been crazy! I have been so busy, but I found some time to do some blogging. Originally, I had to work on Tuesday during the senior/freshmen get together, but my manager asked if I could work during the day instead of at night. Thankfully, Mari came in and reminded me of the get together. It's kinda funny to see my friends little siblings becoming high school students. It does make me feel a little older, even though the new freshmen are still taller than me. My day ended with a surprise appearance by none other than my good friend Jon Lee. He was only in town for a couple of days and luckly I was able to spend some time with him at Robbie's house. On Wednesday, I got my senior pictures taken. The guy took a ton of pictures and some of the poses were a little odd. But all in all it was fun. Once Brandon got off work, we headed over to Robbie's. We played some pool, DDR and were reminded of the good old junior high days. Yesterday was great too! Despite the rain, Brandon joined our family and we all went to the state fair. On the way, my dad blew a tire so Brandon had to help him change it on the side of the highway. Another adventure goes down in the Keck family book! We safely made it to the fair and had a great time. I can't believe summer is almost over! Sunday starts the seniors' school year. Is everyone ready for the retreat? I'm not, but I need to be soon- since I'm on the planning committee. Well everyone, enjoy your last days!

A Day of Fun and Not So Fun
My friend from work Jenn, recently broke up with her boyfriend. When Brandon and I saw how sad she was, we decided to cheer her up. We went to her house, kidnapped her, and took her out to eat and bowling. Everyone did awesome at bowling, except for me- my ball liked to go left even though I threw it straight. Confusing and frustrating! After stopping by Igloo, we all went back to Jenn's house to play DDR and hang out. We were having a great time, until Brandon gave me a piggy back ride. His sole purpose for the ride was to throw me into Jenn's pool. You see, he has been trying to soak me for weeks, after I beat his plan to dunk me in the sanitizer at work. Anyway, I was screaming and holding on for dear life, while my beloved sister was trying her hardest to pull me back from the water. I love her! You can probably guess, that Brandon was successful in his plan and he totally soaked me, right before we had to work! Plus, I had already showered that day and my hair looked really cute. I told him to take me home fast so I could shower and somehow get cleaned up in time for work. I didn't talk to him the whole way home. I was so mad AND they took pictures of the whole thing! Jenn did buy me sorry flowers and Brandon took me out after work for dinner. I finally forgave them and enjoyed the rest of my night. I couldn't stand to be mad at my friends, especially my boyfriend. You might be asking yourself, "Will you get him back?" Well, no, I won't get him back because he would just get me back again. I took the high road. But he now knows to never EVER do that to me again. In the end, we made Jenn very happy, so I guess it wasn't that bad. Boys, a word of causion, DO NOT THROW YOUR GIRFRIENDS IN A POOL WHEN THEY LOOK CUTE!

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. My summer hasn't been that eventful to talk about anything. All I've really done this summer is work, and not much happens there. Well, today I had the day off and it was great! I went to my friend Jen's house for breakfast- I work with her. Ariel, Sylvia and myself had a blast! While Jen was making breakfast, we played DDR. Ariel is awesome at it. After enjoying our breakfast, we swam in her pool. We played monkey-in-the-middle, volleyball, and basketball in her pool. The water activity opened up our appetites, so we ran to Subway in Walmart to see our friend Shawn and get lunch. Jen and I suddenly had a craving to play the multiple crane games in Walmart and we actually won stuff. But it didn't stop there, we then motored over to the mall to the play the crane games there. Well, Ariel and I played while Jen and Sylvia shopped. I got two stuffed animals in one! Too cool! After that fun, we went back to Jen's and hung around until she had to go to work. But of course, we couldn't leave without playing more DDR. Robbie, look out because Ariel is getting better and better, so may want to challenge you some time. By they way, I can't wait to work with you starting Aug 1! You will make life even more fun! Yippy! Well, that was my day. I hope to see you all at the Scramble on Saturday, by the way, has anyone gotten any more info out what time we need to be there and what we need to wear?! I would like to know. I see ya later!

Me and Movies
I love movies! My whole summer, so far, seems to be centered around movies. I've watched new movies, some more than once, and old movies like on DVD. No matter how many times I have seen the movie, I always get lost in it all over again. You see, when I watch a movie, I get so into it, it's like I'm there as one of the characters. When the movie is over, I can't stop thinking about it and wish that it had all been real. For instance, I have seen Superman Returns ( awesome movie!) twice, and I wish so much that I had super powers or that Superman were real. I also watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with my sis, and I wish I could do some of that magic, especially when I get really busy at work and wish I had some extra hands. But that's the great thing about movies, you can get into them and let your imagination run wild, but still come out of the movie back into reality. You get to experience the magic or the super powers and still be completely normal and move on with life. Plus, the old movies never get old, like Jurasic Park and Jaws (they were on tonight). You can play with a dinosaur and barely escape the shark, but still be perfectly safe on your couch. So I hope you guys experience some awesome movies this summer, and don't forget the old ones too!

Surprising FUN!
Well, I got back from Hilton Head Island in one piece! The Leffew family is awesome! You may not believe me, but they are crazy, wild, unpredictable, and so much fun! Ariel and I bonded very quickly with all of the kids that were there. We swam in the ocean, swam in the pool, rode bikes, had movie nights, and played games all week. There was one night when the kids played unltimate frisbee on the golf course. It was great! Just as our game ended the huge sprinklers came on and we ALL ran into them to cool off. Yes, even me. I know- shocking! After that, we all changed into our pj's and watched a movie. The Leffew's have the cutest grandsons. By the end of the week, Brady (age 10) was giving all the girls hugs. He is so cute! I already miss the beach and the family. I hope to see them again. It was just great not being ignored but being completely included. I didn't have to worry about being judged, I could just be myself and act anyway I wanted. I didn't dread being with a bunch of boys or act just right around them. It was like we became one big family. They wanted to get to know me, because they wanted to. They actually wanted to be with me and be seen with me. They were encouraging and accepting. We had fun together and laughed, hard together. I hope we get to do it again next year because it was awesome!

Scary or Fun
Well, sorry about my last post. I know I wasn't the happiest person, but everything is fine now and I am feeling much better. Thanks for everyone's support. Ok, I leave for Hiltonhead with the Leffew's in less than two days! I am a little scared, considering the fact that if you just counted the Leffew family and my family you get 21 people! But that's not all, the Leffew's are bringing friends, so there could be over 30 people! Crazy! My mom told me that one family has girls. Yippy! But one of them is in college and for some odd reason, college girls don't talk to me. Maybe they feel so much older than me so it would be low class to talk to a wee senior. But the good thing is, there is a high chance that her little sisters are around my age. Thank the Lord! Here is another scary thing: Mrs. Leffew would like to split my sister and I up among the boys to get to know them and to get them talking. Ahhhhhhhh! The funny thing is though, my sister doesn't talk much to people. We'll see if that goes through. I'm hoping it will be fun, because when you get Mrs. Leffew with her daughter and my mom, crazy things happen. This next part is kinda random but cool. Brandon and I will be celebrating our 1st year anniversary next month! I'm just really excited! Well, everyone I'm signing off. I'll let you all know how everything went. See ya later!
